Having played with the new Galaxy Nexus from Verizon Wireless for the past week, I am starting to have doubts about my recent defection to the iPhone 4S. The Samsung Galaxy Note is not a tablet and neither is it a smartphone, but it’s a smart touchscreen gadget which embodies smartphone and tablet features — with an artistic touch. Samsung states it’s “a new category of product”. Among other functions, it makes calls and plays games, music and videos.
Samsung apparently is not giving up so easily when it comes to the great 21st century tablet war. Hewlett Packard recently threw in the digital towel, but Samsung is not going down without a fight. Its newest entry into the tablet ring is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE, which is kind of like the first Galaxy on steroids along with a lot of baggage attached to its name.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a fantastic tablet with the ideal hardware specs and design. It’s the ideal Android tablet as of now It is common knowledge now that the Android Army has started its assault on the Apple camp. Even in the tablet arena, we have seen quite a few huge names — and even more smaller ones — introduce their Android offering.
The tablet war has become extremely competitive. Though Apple’s iPad 2 remains in the lead, Samsung is fast proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Samsung’s new second-generation tablet the Galaxy 10.1 is wider, thinner and faster than its predecessor. At just 8,6mm thick, Samsung claims it is the world’s thinnest mobile tablet, and it weighs 595g.
